I wanted you all to know the process below for any new cub scouts and Scoutbook.
1. Pack 734 receives the new scout’s application in my.scouting. Once approved, it takes 24-48 hrs for the scout’s account to show up in Scoutbook.
Only key 3 can do this and only the Charter Organization Representative (or the COR delegate) can approve leader applications. Hopefully the new member coordinator will have access moving forward.
2. In Scoutbook, a Pack Admin allocates the cub scouts to their correct dens.
3. The Pack Admin sends invitations from Scoutbook to the parent/guardians to join. Please note that parents who are not signed up for Scoutbook, or who have opted out of Scoutbook emails, will not receive communications through Scoutbook. This is our preferred communication method, but initially you might need to email them directly until they are fully on Scoutbook.
To check new cub scouts’ connections:
1. Click the new cub scout in your den.
2. Click the parent’s or guardian’s name under the cub scout’s name, see below:
3. If the guardian is not connected, you will see a “This connecting is Pending” message and you can resend an invite. If they are connected, you will not see this message.
